ntorvik
You guys seen this kid? The closer role isn't really great for the Sox right now and this guy looks pretty legit. He has a long way to go in the farm system, but he looks like a guy to get excited about. He seems like one of the better prospects for that reliever role. http://www.upperdeckreport.com/news_article/show/88756
ChiliIrishHammock24
I think he just got roughed up yesterday too. Like 4 ER in 2 IP or something. But yes, I like him a lot.

But yes, I like him a lot. In fairness only one of those 4 runs was earned. Reed is likable. One of the few prospects off to a strong start this year. Thanks for sharing that link and welcome aboard! One of the few prospects off to a strong start this year. Thanks for sharing that link and welcome aboard! Oh, they must have changed a play to an error, or had one of those "earned runs pending the final out of the inning" deals because I was pretty sure he had 4 ER when I looked during the game. Whatever, I'm still confident in him and it doesn't change my opinion.
ntorvik
It happens, just look at Ryan Franklin and Joe Nathan. Just goes to show you how quickly those jobs can be taken away from you as a reliever. I don't see why they wouldn't maybe give him a shot in the rotation at some point, but I could understand if they left him in the reliever spot out of habit. He has the stuff to be a starter, I think, but he could also be a dominant closer. Either way, I think the Sox need to bring him up soon. BrenBlackwood
He's currently on my s*** list. He is beating me at words with friends ( barely, but still). I'm not fond of losing.
