ChiliIrishHammock24
CMIAW, but didn't our starters have a very similar streak last year that was the beginning of our 26-5 run, or whatever the run was? I will do some searching, but I am pretty damn sure it was very, very close. Which is funny because it ALSO happened as soon as Peavy came back. EDIT: Nevermind, Peavy came back about a month before this happened. Edited May 10, 2011 by JoeCoolMan24
ChiliIrishHammock24
Here it is. I guess I reposted the new results after each game for a while, so if Danks dominates tomorrow, I'll have the stats to match from last year too. Last year.... Sox starters over last 7 games..... 45 1/3 IP, 30 H, 5 ER, 9 BB, 25 K, 0.99 ERA, 0.86 WHIP, 2.78 K/BB Sox are 7-0 over that stretch.

The Ginger Kid
shhh....quiet! haven't you heard? the season is already over. Yes, this is a great thing.
TheChrisSamsa
Quietly, the White Sox will work their way back into the race. I don't expect a lot of attention put on it (except maybe on this board), but I sincerely think they'll put themselves in position to succeed. Yoda
The real fortunate thing of all this is that we’re talking about it on May 10 instead of June 10. Things could be real different if the Sox don’t show any signs of life by then.
chetkincaid
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 10, 2011 -> 07:53 AM) Now we need bats and bullpens We got a bad ass vato loco at the end of that bullpen though.

greg775
QUOTE (ChrisLikesBaseball @ May 10, 2011 -> 01:27 PM) Quietly, the White Sox will work their way back into the race. I don't expect a lot of attention put on it (except maybe on this board), but I sincerely think they'll put themselves in position to succeed. It's got to be quiet. Being 11 back in the loss column has made the team irrelevant.
Jordan4life_2007
QUOTE (bmags @ May 10, 2011 -> 03:40 PM) hahaha Not even I'm that negative. I see no problem pointing out any positives in this case. Do I think will truly get back into it? Not really. But I said myself that June 1st would be the cutoff point. No substantial improvement by then and I say blow it up. Paint it Black
Add another reason to the "won-loss record for pitchers is pointless" towering mountain. Danks has been great and has no wins. I heard on B&B today in Danks' 7 starts, 5 have been quality starts. Teams win ~75% of a pitchers quality starts. John Danks has been one of the most unlucky pitchers over the last 3 years. Never gets run support or pen support it seems.

Have you ever heard Coop on the SCORE? He can't deal with fan criticism. I'd rather have AJ as a manager.
