Wow, some great names. I had forgotten that Bob Rush went to the South Side. He was a pretty good pitcher for some really bad Cub teams in the 50's. Al Worthington came over from the Giants I believe. Thanks.

Woah. Not a lot of us remember Bob Rush although I had totally forgotten too that he pitched for the Sox.

Bob Rush had 13 years in the show 1948-1960. 127-153, ERA of 3.65. He won 17 games in 1952, as I remember for a very bad Cubbie team. He finished his career with Sox in 1960, pitching 9 games, 14 innings, no W/L record. Sox were lousy, too, until 1951. That's when the Go-Go Sox started. I remember Rush well, trying to get an autograph as he drove away. He was one of Jack Brickhouse's favorites.

Funny you mention that because I always thought, only knowing him from a couple of baseball cards, that he looked like Jack Brickhouse.
