southsideirish71
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 20, 2011 -> 08:54 PM) Correct. Instead of the sports psychologist we should invest in a hypnotist. Zap Guillen with common sense, a love of stats, the ability to develop kids, and love for al baseball.

fathom
Rios with no chance on any pitch on the outer half. At some point, you have to tell him his ridiculous stance needs to go.
SoxPride56
QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ May 20, 2011 -> 08:52 PM) So we bench young players for a few days for success and we punish the team by making sure we generate lots of outs from the top. southsideirish71
QUOTE (BearSox @ May 20, 2011 -> 08:56 PM) Rios really needs to fix his hands. They are too busy converting Beckham's stance and swing into Josh Fields. Plus everyone knows vets fix themselves.
ChiliIrishHammock24
A Mike MacDougal sighting! I better hope we have a scouting report on this guy. Like.....don't swing. Ever.

Harry Chappas
I will continue to say that there is something in the way Walker works with LHH as they are incapable of hitting any type of LHP. Thome and now Dunn are easy examples. Hopefully Walk can get to work on the three practice swing Rios and getting him hitting....... The Sox at home swing from the heels and thus hit high fastballs and hangers in the air on the infield.
fathom
Castro sure does like to take a lot of strikes. Seems he's struck out a ton looking this year.
southsideirish71
I love watching the sox in pitching duels with hot garbage. A near 5 era in the NL and we are clinging to a 1 run lead based on beck's jack.

BearSox
I always assumed the only teaching Walker did was preach to swing from the heels and pull the ball.

ChiliIrishHammock24
That should be it for Humber. Once again, he provides us with a VERY solid effort. He has been a tremendous surprise to most of you guys, and even myself.

Harry Chappas
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 20, 2011 -> 09:05 PM) Thome was always 150 poitns of ops worse against lhp. Even in Cleveland. Maybe so but when he was on the Sox any leftie would get him out rather easily and then I recall the Thorton at-bat last year. I am sure Dunn's career average against lefties is higher than .000 and it is a small sample size but it seems like an odd coincidence
fathom
Morel doesn't have enough opposite field power to consistently hit the ball over the right fielder's head. I like his swing more when he tries to pull the ball.
