Was it bad luck today? I see his K/BB ratio was rather good.

He started off wild and ineffective, got it together as the outing went on. It wasn't a good start by any means, but he gave us a chance to win the game.

completly agree. its just a whole lot easier to say "fire ozzie!" instead of saying crain sucked, etc. but hey, everyone is entitled to their own opinion , no reason to fight

That's true. How did we score? My MLB froze up.

You think we see him start another game? If he does, it's simply to showcase him for a trade.

Cool. I was just looking at the stats. I saw one BB and thought he couldn't have been too bad.

I agree yet disagree.

He didn't give us a good chance to win the game.

The bats came today and he was not really good. He didn't take advantage of our offense coming to play today.

A loss is a loss. So we hit and still lose.

Who knows...but if it were me, given the potential returns, I would roll the dice on Edwin keep him around and trade Danks because we can actually get something for him.

If neither are going to be around, shouldn't we trade the one that actually nets some kind of return?

Jackson was fine, hes just the easiest whipping boy on the Sox staff. Bautista hit a 3 run hr off of him and he was a little off the first few innings. The fact is that if 5 ers is a terrible start, than no pitcher should be pitching in the AL because im not sure there is a pitcher who hasnt given up that many.

He kept the Sox in a position to win, gave up a few weak hits (broken bats etc), but when he got a lead he held it.

Got no problem with that outing.

Ok you're right, Greg. He wasn't pitching with a 6-5 lead into the 7th after giving up 5 runs in the first 2 2/3.

But you really think Boras and the Sox can work on an agreement to keep Jackson around? You know I'm with you in trading Danks.

I'm not exactly happy with the outing, and his WHIP has been terrible this year for someone with his stuff.

I agree. But I doubt KW can pull it off. A year and a half of Danks should fetch exactly what the Jays got for Marcum.

No. I mean keep Edwin around for the remainder of the season. I still think we are going to be in this division for the long haul, so I'd like to keep one of them.

lol

Yeah Jackson wont bring any return because every staff in the league has guys better than him.

Come on now, if the Sox wanted to trade Edwin, he could be gone today.

Make him a reliever and get rid of Pena. He gets the Pena role.

Yeah, but most likely he's going to return much less than Danks would, even though I think the returns on the field would be very similar this season.

Danks doesn't come with the injury concerns Marcum had.
