Chi Town Sox
I am in a keeper league and was just offered his Josh Hamilton (7th round) for my Jon Lester (4th round). I needed a pitcher bad so I kept Lester in this rotisserie league, I am in first by about 10 points right now, pitching is a huge strength with 10's in every category except for WHIP which is 7. Hitting can definitely be upgraded but Josh Hamilton plays with reckless abandon as we all know. C. Miguel Montero 1B. Billy Butler 2B. Brandon Phillips 3B. Alex Rodgriguez SS. Hanley Ramirez and Yunel Escobar OF. Jay Bruce OF. Drew Stubbs OF. Alex Gordon UTIL. Neil Walker DL. Ryan Zimmerman SP's. Lester Hamels Shields Gio Brett Anderson Morrow Chacin Lilly RP's Hanrahan Madson Melancon Salas League I know this is a great deal for me with my pitching depth but the big question is about Hamilton's health...what does everyone think? I would have keepers galore that I could move at the end of the year to fix a weakness for the stretch run. (Hanley 1, Zimmerman 13, Bruce 6, Stubbs 22, Hamilton 7, Gordon 22, Walker 22) unfortunately we can only keep 4. I have also run by trade talk for Neil Walker for Billingsley or Bumgarner just to have a pitcher back. Thanks
LittleHurt05
That's a tough choice, Hamilton is obviously a beast when healthy, but who knows how long that will last. Your pitching staff is solid, but Shields is due for a bit of a decline, which would concern me. Zimmerman is the wild card, he just started rehab and if he comes back in the next two weeks, you can throw him in the UTIL spot and won't need Hamilton as much. Either you way you are depending on an injured player, but I personally would lean towards staying put unless Zimm has another setback. knightni
No way you trade Lester for Hamilton. Cabrera, maybe. But not Hamilton.
southsider2k5
I avoided Hamilton just because he is an injury lock.
