NorthSideSox72
Sweep here would be HUGE, not to mention it would mean making for a 5-5 road trip (which is not a bad showing). Then come home from that, to face Detroit. I still like two goals for the Sox by the ASB: over .500 and in 2nd place. If they can do both, I'd feel pretty good about this club's chances. If they can do both, I'd feel pretty good about this club's chances. I'd feel even better if Dunn started hitting the ball with authority. That happens and I'm sold that we will take this division. That happens and I'm sold that we will take this division. I like the fact he is taking more walks. It means he is swinging at less bad pitches. The next step it to start hitting the pitches to hit. Bubba Philips
QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jun 1, 2011 -> 10:41 AM) Dunn 3 HR day Can he hit some opposite field high flys over the monster. Or some cheap home runs in right field. I'd love to see Dunn have an awesome night. I do however realize that Wakefield is pitching. In the past I think as a team we have done well. I know Konerko hits him well enough. Can Dunn and others hit the knuckler. If so we can sweep!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Harry Chappas
Dunn is strong enough to sit back on the knuckler and flip it off the monster kind of like hitting a softball.

Or swing so hard he'd fall over. I think the Sox, especially Konerko, have had pretty good success against Wakefield in the past.
The Ginger Kid
is humidity a friend or foe to the knuckler? Cuz it's humid today in beantown.

Friend, gives more resistance to the laces I believe. Dry air is smoother for the ball to go through.

maggsmaggs
Can we sign Frank for the day? He crushed Wakefield and had a three home run game off him way back when. Anyway, with Wakefield pitching and Saltalamacchia catching, we better be running all day long. Wakefield obviously slows throw and takes time to deliver it, and Saltalamacchia has an AJ-esque awful arm. Pierre should run all day long, ditto for Sexy, Lilli, Viz and Bacon.
