fathom
That might have been a strike out on the HBP that wasn't called.
Jake
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 02:21 PM) That might have been a strike out on the HBP that wasn't called. Agreed.
fathom
I'm ok with that walk. Peavy has to avoid a fastball tailing over the plate to VMart here.

fathom
Peavy's getting a lot of the plate with these fastballs. Has nasty movement today but not the velocity we saw vs Cleveland.

fathom
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 08:24 PM) Lucky that ball did not get up. What's AJ thinking calling on that pitch with bases loaded and how much Peavy's fastball is moving? Peavy is really struggling this inning with his command. fathom
Peavy with just an awful inning. He needs better command if he's going to have mediocre velocity. Sorry guys, he's not an ace yet.

Friend of Nordhagen
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 02:27 PM) Peavy with just an awful inning. He needs better command if he's going to have mediocre velocity. Sorry guys, he's not an ace yet. One thing that might help, even with a 6-man rotation, is not pushing his pitch counts above 110, you know, less than a year after surgery. It's been very stupid all year.
