southsider2k5
http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2011/06/whit..._medium=twitter White Sox Designate Jeff Marquez For Assignment By Luke Adams [June 5, 2011 at 10:53am CST] The White Sox have designated Jeff Marquez for assignment, the team announced. The move clears a spot on the roster for Mark Teahen, who was activated from the disabled list. Marquez, selected 41st overall by the Yankees in 2004, was called up from Triple-A Charlotte last Monday, but didn't pitch for Chicago before being designated. The 26-year-old has appeared in just one big league game, allowing a two-run home run to Yuniesky Betancourt in his lone inning of work last July. This season, Marquez has made nine starts for Charlotte, recording a 3.97 ERA.

Milkman delivers
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 12:26 PM) Teahen was hitting sub-.200 at Charlotte. He's obviously proven all he can down there.
Knackattack
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 10:26 AM) Teahen was hitting sub-.200 at Charlotte. I'm guessing that all they cared about in AAA was if he was healthy enough to play, not the statistics he put up.

Donny Lucy's Avocado Farm
MLBTR writes as if a DFA'd Mazquez is big news. He was outrighted in ST. He has cleared waivers twice now. Anyway, maybe Teahen can grab some ABs from Dunn now that Littlebridge is playing CF. Our Mendoza duo of Dunn and Rios can ride the pine. southsider2k5
QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 11:51 AM) Did he even throw pitch in anger while up here? The only day they could have used him was yesterday, and he had already been DFAd by then.
