Anyone see chuck garfien's post-game interview with Humber. He basically laughed in Humber's face about how he was released so many times. (Haha, sure you were "DFA'd" hahahaa." Humber: dead faced)

More fuel to add on the fire of Phil Humber.

There's something about Garfein's face, his facial expressions, his attitude, that has always irritated me.

Speaking of post-game, can anyone tell what this noise is that makes Humber start to crack up during the interview? Go to the link that says "Humber thankful..." and at around 2:09 you start to hear something that starts him cracking up.

Humber video

sounds like a fart machine

prolly teammates messing with him in the background

How much time does he have with the Sox? When will it be time to start talking contract?

We have him under control for a while. Because of that, we wont start talking contract for some time, or at least we shouldn't.

definitely. I think he thinks he's better than his job suggests.

His curve was nasty last night.

ironically, it was the curve that got him into trouble in the 7th inning (i use the term trouble loosely, as he only gave up baserunners but didn't allow them to score)

I don't expect Humber to have turned his career around entirely so that he'll pitch at this level for years, but I made this thread because last night I finally started to feel that he's going to continue this all season. I'm expecting a Loaiza-like run: a great year followed by a few pretty decent ones. I'm very happy for the guy, as you just know he's enjoying every second of this.

Considering he finishes out the year without falling off of some huge cliff, do you think he'd be regarded as the comeback player of the year? I understand that he was never really there in the first place, so that's why I wonder.

Nah, no comeback player. There is about a 100% chance that award goes to Granderson or Beckett.
