Round 33- They finally took a high school player. A catcher.

Yeah, Bryce Mosier, catcher. He sounds like a pretty good prospect, but obviously any prep player taken this late is probably a tough sign. Committed to SDSU.

Story on the 34th rounder. Also a high schooler, but that makes it sound like he will sign.

I wonder what the deal was on a suspension?

White Sox 41st rounder: James (Chandler) Shepherd, RHP, Lawrence County HS (KY). 6-3, 185. Kentucky commit. Tough sign.

Weird. Today all high school kids, yesterday all college kids.

Not surprised after yesterday's decision to go all college, they obviously wanted to infuse talent in the system with more ready prospects, and now they most likely drafted everybody that they liked out of college and are looking past the "blah" prospects and towards the high school tough signs to see if they can steal one or two.

Quite well in his first year at JC.

Gregor said the opposite. Kid didn't hit for much of any power and doesn't have a single HR. Probably not going to do well as a corner OF/1B with no power to speak of.
