fathom
Reason this is a terrible loss is we might have faced the worst pitcher to start a game all season, and then we had about 10 pitches to win the game. This is so similar to the Tampa debacle on another Friday night where they had a long losing streak. Oh, and you suck Juan.
Cerbaho-WG
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 10, 2011 -> 10:16 PM) Thanks, Hawk. I'll do just that when I deem it necessary. No, you continually s*** on this team so you can be the board contrarian. The only thing you're reliable at is being wrong about damn near everything. greg775
QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 11, 2011 -> 04:14 AM) You can't start 11-22, lose games like this, and make the playoffs. That's why starting 11-22 almost always leads to an October at home, there's no margin for error. When you start like a major league team, then an occasional loss like this can be absorbed. But with the start this team had, every single loss like this is a major step closer towards the teams typical failed season that ends after 162. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jun 11, 2011 -> 04:15 AM) Nope, not devastated at all. It was much worse just losing a game to the Tigers. QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ Jun 11, 2011 -> 04:17 AM) The same people who are b****ing that the season is over now will be the ones screaming that real fans (like themselves) can't get tickets to the post season games 1.) I agree fully. 2.) It is a totally pathetic devastating loss. Gio beats us and we're down 2-1 to Oakland and on ANOTHER rotten homestand. 3.) We're not going to any playoffs. Not with this team. Princess Dye
The game tonight is not indicative of anything on its own. Even the best teams in baseball have nights like these. We controlled the game throughout and then got done in by some hit batsmen and two hits in the 9th. Don't let the 9th be indicative of the whole night. Our weak point has been offense this year, and today we provided some.

This is the Sox's 9th blown save on the season. Houston leads the league with 13. There Are 10 teams with more.

I guess he didn't realize Buehrle was great the first 3 months.
greg775
What a pathetic baseball team. AT HOME they blow that game. Unf***ingbelievable. The White Sox are just unbelievably dysfunctional. Unreal. Blow.It.Up. Please

fathom
Biggest issue with our blown saves is that it seems like we've gone on to lose all but one of those games. At least we can say that when Sergio goes bad....he really goes bad.

chiguy79
Even if we get the next two it doesn't make up for letting wins get away from us that were in the bag...it is not like we are coming from a position of strength they need to win these games to get back into the race. And yes the offense should have put more on the board but it really doesn't matter we gave up 4 runs in the ninth with only two hits against a bunch of .230 hitters and a call up, and a team that had lost 10 in a row and was defeated...
