Always great to get a win when the Indians and Tigers lose! Can't wait to get to .500!

I just wish it would have been yesterday as well as today that this happened. Should have been a sweep, but I will take 3 of 4

I'm excited about Dunn, Rios, and Peavy contributing. Peavy already has, but was knocked out- those three awakening at roughly the same time in addition to the rest of the guys doing what they do...

On a side note, everyone has written the Twins off, but I've been worried about them. 9 GB in early June is typical AL Central winner Twins s***. They are back in the mix, and the Sox have a whole lot of games left against them.

Man, no one making a winner thread.

Helluva game Phil.

Helluva swing Dunn.

6-4 Homestand. 3.5 games out, 2 games under .500.

It's all good. Go Sox. This is starting to get exciting again.

Dunn tied with Joltin' Joe at 361 career homers. That was quite a blast!

If the Sox weren't out of it a month ago, the Twins aren't out of it now. Time to kick them while they're still down this week.

Rios was s*** today, but other than that, he's looked good lately. What a blast by Dunn. I was at the game, and usually I know when a HR is a HR; his first AB, I thought for sure that was going to get out.

Humber has been a god-send. If he's not good enough to make the AS team, then I don't know who is.

There are only threads when its such a "devastating loss" for the team with "no balls" that would surely drop the next two to Cy Gio and this other schmuck.

We never bounce back from despicable losses like Friday night...

I use to think the Twins were pretty much toast until I saw in the paper today they've played only 24 home games compared to 40 road games.

Yeah, I saw that too...and while they started out horrendously at home, I think they're 8 -1 in their last 9 or something there.

Theyve got a long road to get back to respectable, but you can't count them out, not that team.

Im predicting that they wont really make a strong push to contend, but theyll improve enough to give teams like the Sox fits and possibly really hurt our chances of getting in first at some point.

This is seriously a HUGE series against Minny. We can pretty much finish them off with a sweep or let them right back into this damn thing if we do what we usually do against them(and yes I know they'd still be way under .500 but they'd only be a couple games behind the Sox).

Good victory today.

Dunn with a bomb. Much needed.

Humber with 7 Ks. Man, if this guy is this good, it will make up for some of the pitchers we've lost. He has sucked with all teams except for the Sox who hopefully have turned his career around.

Konerko and Juan 2 hits apiece.

Did anybody see on that one line smash up the middle, Sergio stuck his bare hand out there to try to catch it? I swear if his hand got in the way of that smash, he'd be out a LONG time. Woullda smashed his hand.

Nice to see him get out of it and get the save. Could Morel have gone to third base on that ground ball that Crisp beat out or did he not have the angle? Comment on that?

Not to look ahead, but it will be so disappointing if we don't do something positive vs. the Twins. That team is playing much better, but my god, at some point we have to get some wins against Minnie and Detroit and not be their patsies.

Was Crisp safe? Guess it doesn't matter.

Hopefully this will help Santos for the future. Ozzie said he was "anxious" and was blaming that on his lack of experience...trying to make nearly every pitch (particularly his slider/curve) perfect...and literally trying to throw every fastball as hard as he possibly can. As we all know, every hitter can rip a 94-96 MPH fastball if they're waiting for it and ahead in the count, especially since Sergio's doesn't have a huge amount of movement.

Sergio and Jackson are very similar pitchers in the sense that if they have their offspeed stuff going and can get ahead in counts, they're absolutely dominant. Just haven't seen that much recently with either of those guys compared to the first 6 or so weeks.

Please Juan Pierre, if you're going to be in the line-up, at least don't ever try to bunt again unless it's for a hit.

I agree it's huge, but at this point I think any game against a Central team is huge, because the division owns the White Sox.

We underachieve against every team in our division with the possible exception of Cleve.

This has to change.
