Lillian
Something else that no one seems to be talking about is that Viciedo is killing RHP. Last year, when he was called up, he was given a lot of playing time vs. LHP. It appears that he may be even a better hitter against RHP. ILMOU
He needs to be on the team starting after the break. Period. Find a way, be creative like they were with the 6 man rotation.
Cali
QUOTE (OilCan @ Jul 7, 2011 -> 04:45 PM) Currently, Viciedo is hitting .341 against RHP, .274 against LHP. You know what that means.... Ozzie will bench his ass against all righties.... If he is able to be called up. He'll base it on last years always vs. Lefties thing. ILMOU
Gwinnett Braves just intentionally walked him in the 3rd inning to get to our clean up hitter, Flowers. The entire world knows he should be in the Bigs. Flowers delivered a 2B BTW. Edited July 8, 2011 by Stan Bahnsen
Steve9347
I see he's got that OPS up over .900. He is hot as f***. We sure couldn't use a bat like that.
caulfield12
Dare we say we're to the point Viciedo is walking TOO much, haha? Never thought he'd be piling up the walks like this. In our line-up in Chicago, the same thing might happen to pitch around him in order to get to the 8-9-1 hitters.
BigSqwert
My god this organization is brain dead. Our attendance is way down and our offense sucks so lets keep a hitting phenom down in AAA for no good reason. SMH

greg775
If we had brought him up for this series, we'd have gone 2-2. It's just true. Now we are headed for 0-4 or 1-3 if there's a miracle.
Y2Jimmy0
Isn't Santiago probably done for the series after his workload tonight? Has anyone given any thought to sending Santiago down, going with a short pen for 3 games and inserting Dayan's bat into the lineup for the rest of the 3 game series? Then the Sox would have 4 days to figure out what to do next. Thoughts?

He is up to .372 with only 66K's in 339 PA's.
Milkman delivers
It's hard to root for this franchise with the way they are handling this situation, among many other things.
chisoxfan09
I am taking a guess for fun and predicting if DV gets to 500 PA's at Charlotte his stat line would be similar to this on the very basic stats: 1. 500 PA's 2. .330 BA 3. 28 HR's 4. 105 RBI's 5. .380 OBP 6. 100 K's/45 BB's Just for fun. Obviously I want him to come up to the show.

Hopefully after this series embarassment the changes begin.
T R U
With the way the season has gone so far, I wouldn't be shocked at all if he finally did get the call up and just fell right on his face.. It would just be another kick to the groin this season, and fitting with the way things have gone thus far With so many people severely under performing we should be thanking the baseball gods we are still in it

We are the worst team in the Central Division in terms of winning head to head games. After these 19 games vs. the Central it mercifully will be over. Cmon man we have the best pitching; that's gotta count for something at the end of all this. Now what the hell do we do with Rios Beckham Pierre and Morel? Something big has to happen there, big changes. Thankfully Pierre might have value again to another team; well at least enough value where we don't have to pay all of his salary
