NUKE_CLEVELAND
Hawks winger Eric Daze is gonna be out at least 6 weeks with a messed up disc in his back. This is obviously a huge blow to the Hawks & leaves them with a big hole on their second line.
BridgeportHeather
At least he is only going to miss the first three weeks of the regular season. It's better he gets this done now than him having it get worse and have to have a season-ending back surgery in the middle of December. NUKE_CLEVELAND
I dont think an injury like this will be as serious as it would have been in recent years. For once the Hawks have a good deal of depth in the lineup & it's actually gonna make me sorry to see some of these guys go back to Norfolk. The Critic
I think it's going to hurt the Hawks, just because they don't have huge depth on offense. Even after he returns, they're going to have to be aware of his health - I know guys who've had back surgery and they say that you feel better afterwards, but you don't feel completely right for a long time, if ever. I just wish that Andy Griffith ( Wirtz ) would have let his flunkies address the offense during the off-season.
