White Sox Loser

Yes, losing both of these games sucked.

Yes, we suck against Minny.

Yes, Ozzie sucks as an in-game manager.

Here are the facts I'd like to focus on:

1) Interleague is here, and we rake against the NL.

2) We have only 4 games, all at home, against the Twins until August 5th, when the Twins will likely be way out of it and already taking it apart. They are 4-0 against the Sox and 15 under against everyone else. If you think we will go 0-19 against them, you don't watch enough baseball.

3) No team in the AL Central is good enough to win 90, and probably no team is good enough to win even 88.

4) 23 of our next 41 games are at home.

If you think this team is buried, save your breath. As infuriating as it will be, they will be in this thing all year, whether you like it or not, just like every other team has been under the Williams era except for 07.

That doesn't mean they have what it takes to win this division, or that this division is even worth winning. There will be a race, and the Sox will be a significant factor in it.

f*** the Twins. Let's move on.

Wait, the Twins are going to be out of it and tearing their team apart? This was the worst lineup I've ever seen from a Twins team. As long as they still have their pitching, pitch calling, and the name Twins on their jersey, they'll kick our ass. And I don't get why people think the Tigers are such an average team. They have a true ace and a very dangerous offense. If rumors are true and they trade some of their prospects for another starting pitcher, I think they could easily get to 90 wins.

We also caught the Twins in a stride where they are winning 90% of their games, against every opponent.

Nishioka played today. Joe Mauer is returning on the morrow. Joe Nathan is currently on a rehab stint.

The guns are reloading.

Just gotta tip your cap, actually, let's just give them the wins automatically vs us. We can then have some extra offdays.

I'm not tipping my cap at all. I don't think they're better than us. There are times when you catch a team when it is absurdly hot and every break goes their way.

You'd think anyone who watched the June 2010 White Sox might know this.

8 hits, 10 baserunners, and no runs. That's pretty f***ing impressive.

This team isn't going to win a thing until it can beat every team in the division with some sort of consistency. You can look at the bright side all you want to, but that's pretty much the fact of the matter. They have some mental roadblock when playing the Twins, and they can't beat them.

I don't normally condone it, but I think they need to start a brawl with the Twins and kick the ever loving s*** out of them to prove that they are actually superior and stronger. As of right now, it's all a mentality, and that starts with the manager.

Agreed on all counts.

Here are the facts I'd like to focus on:

1) Interleague is here, and we rake against the NL.

That didn't mean much in '06 and last year. And I'm sure NL teams feel the same way about us, as most Sox fans do about them. "This is the time to make our run."

2) We have only 4 games, all at home, against the Twins until August 5th, when the Twins will likely be way out of it and already taking it apart. They are 4-0 against the Sox and 15 under against everyone else. If you think we will go 0-19 against them, you don't watch enough baseball.

We've played below .500 baseball against our division consistently since '05. And that's not just the Twins.

3) No team in the AL Central is good enough to win 90, and probably no team is good enough to win even 88.

Means nothing if we can't beat the Twins or Tigers. Both teams are better at this point.

4) 23 of our next 41 games are at home.

And? We're below .500 at home.

If you think this team is buried, save your breath. As infuriating as it will be, they will be in this thing all year, whether you like it or not, just like every other team has been under the Williams era except for 07.

And other than a coinflip, this team has failed every year the last five. They don't get or deserve the benefit of the doubt.

That doesn't mean they have what it takes to win this division, or that this division is even worth winning. There will be a race, and the Sox will be a significant factor in it.

f*** the Twins. Let's move on.

And will ultimately come up short because they can't beat their main competition.

If you think the White Sox will somehow fall out of this race, quit kidding yourself. There's too much talent on this team and the division just sucks too much. That's mainly my point.

Every also-ran team during the Williams era makes it to 1-3 games out sometime in August.

Dating back to last year, the Twins are 17-5 against the White Sox. At some point, it's not about the breaks the other team is getting and the fact that one team quite clearly and evidently owns the other.

It's time to make this a rivalry again, and I say that because one side has to win a little bit for it to actually be a rivalry, right?

It's kind of unbelievable that a single 0-2 stretch against a division rival, on the heels of this team playing .630 ball for 35 games, has people reeling this much.

Drops to .594 ball if you include just those 2 games.

Nice try man, but good luck trying to convince the people of Soxtalk. I still have faith though.

Considering that the White Sox play 37 of their next 41 games against teams not from Minnesota (with the 4 they do at home), and considering that they are .500 this season outside of those games despite playing like absolute dogs*** most of the time, and considering that they were 23 over against all other teams not named the Twins last season, and considering that many of those upcoming opponents are s*** teams, yeah, I'm sorry, but I'm not willing to abandon ship quite yet.

I honestly wish we just forfeited these two games. We all knew coming in we were going down and would lose both, no matter what. Admit it, deep down you knew it. We'll be lucky to go 5-14 again this year against the Twinks. I guess it wasnt the HHH metrodome that was the problem.

Did anyone really say on here: season's over?

Oh, so merely a 97 win seasonal pace.

But we're starting from a deep, deep hole.

If we play .594 ball the rest of the year, we win 87 games. That's borderline, iffy, maybe making the playoffs if no other team in the Central gets hot.

The division destroying and league realignment might be the greatest thing to happen to this organization since '05

Hell yeah, bring on the Astros and their awful organization! I also like watching games in that park.
