Hate to sound like a Canuck fan, but I concur that the refs have been s***. That Toews call was awful and Shaw should have been given a normal two minute minor. That being said, the Coyotes had a worse power play than the Hawks this season, the penalty kill needs to play better. Too many guys are setting up shop right in front of Crawford.

To sound like a canuck fan you would have to say Bettman had a direct line to the refs during the game and was personally directing every call as it happens.

And then I'd go to the local shopping center and loot & start a fire.

I think Sharpie got it.

Thats one of the worst games I've seen us play in a awhile and we are in OT on the road. Not bad.

I agree. As upset as I am at the two bad calls, that regulation loss would have been on the Hawks, not on the refs.

This Esposito/Thomas commerical is just f***ing awful. Binny's needs to spend some money to find an actual producer.

Great comeback and win.

But come on guys. Shaw went through Smith, shoulder to head. That's an easy call. Goalies are protected, they aren't free game.

If that happened to Crawford, the reaction here would have been the complete opposite, which is a joke. That wasn't even close. Seriously, we're all Hawks fans, but come on already.

Should have been a two minute charging penalty & no more. Shaw wasn't head hunting.

Gotta add that Corey Crawford played awesome, especially that toe save in OT in the crease.

That's great, but it doesn't matter at all what the intentions were. No it wasn't on purpose. But a shoulder to a goalie's head behind the net is going to result in that, and rightly so.

Did you see the overheard angle? It was helmet to helmet, there wasn't much shoulder, if ANY, that hit Smith. He got 5 and a 10+game for that, Weber got 2 for smashing Zetterberg's head in the glass. And Smith embellished the s*** out it.

Yeah, I get your point, but still think it should have been a minor, not a major. Either way, Hawks win, doesn't matter anymore. If Shanahan didn't suspend Weber, no way in hell he can discipline Shaw although you can bet he will be in a fight on Tuesday.

The overhead angle certainly made it look like shoulder on head. His hit has zero to do with Weber.

Edit: It certainly was shoulder on head after seeing it a few more times including one different angle.

His hit has everything to do with Weber. Zetterberg wasn't hurt, so Weber wasn't suspended. Byron Bitz hurt Kyle Clifford, who missed the next game, Bitz was suspended. Smith stayed in the game, Shaw should not be suspended.
