oldsox
Sometimes managers act like they don't have the sense that God gave a goose. Tonight it was Cleveland's Manny Acta. Now, I kinow managers like to see the starter get the victory when possible. But, still, the object should be to get the win, and if a bullpen guy gets the win, so be it. Tonight I'm watching the Rockies at Cleveland. Cleveland has a 4-1 lead in the fifth, two outs, no one on. Looks good for the starter, Carmona, who has the highest ERA in the AL. Two outs, he walks a guy, then gives up 6 straight hits. He must have thrown at least 50 pitches that inning. Finally, Acta takes him out behind 7-4. Gotta leave the starter in. Rockettes hung on to win 8-7. Chalk this loss up to the Manager. I know this has nothing to do with the Sox, thought I would mention it.
