Steve9347
Juan Pierre's inability to hit a ball out of the infield led to that scrappy failed bunt for hit.
bobryansson
Sloppy for out #3. Of course.
whitesoxbrian
Has anyone noticed that Pierre walks like an old man? His back his hunched and his huge a** sticks out like no other. Now, he's running like he's old. Run harder, slow a**.
Chisoxrd5
Pierre does everything right on that bunt, but he's too damn slow to beat it out. What a sad reality that must be for him. Nice work Brent, I was about to lose it if we didn't score this inning.
greg775
Folks, a serious contender would take that run and turn it into an easy 3-2 win over a horrid Cubs team. We shall see if we can get it done or fail.
MiddleCoastBias
QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 21, 2011 -> 10:48 PM) At least we got the run in. Exactly. I will ride this high just long enough to forget about the AB that followed.
greg775
We get first and third and nobody out and are elated to score one run. Bad baseball team.
Steve9347
It's pretty wild that th Sox have a guy in the minors just killing it, who has hit .300 over an extended period in the bigs already, whom already gets paid on a major league contract, who also happens to play LF, yet Ozzie refuses to relent on Pierre. KW will actually have to release Juan for him to not play 5 times a week. Edited June 22, 2011 by Steve9347

caulfield12
How are the Twins on a 15-2 run? Their starting pitching has been very, very good, but those everyday line-ups? Rios, you still suck. Morel really sucked it and delivered. Thankfully he gave him a slider or change instead of throwing the FB when he had him down 1-2. That forced the expected fastball the next pitch. Edited June 22, 2011 by caulfield12
maggsmaggs
QUOTE (bobryansson @ Jun 21, 2011 -> 10:47 PM) Anybody know the answer to my batting average question comparing with versus without RISP? With runners in scoring position: .249 average, .324 OPB, .379 SLG and .703 OPS. Overall: .254 average, .322 OBP, .397 SLG and .719 OPS. You can do the math and see we are not too far away from our season averages with runners in scoring position. Worse, but not incredibly worse. greg775
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 22, 2011 -> 04:51 AM) How are the Twins on a 15-2 run? Their starting pitching has been very, very good, but those everyday line-ups? I'll tell you how, the Royals and Sox got them going ... again. Minnie knows how to kick the s*** out of Central teams. They won all 4 in KC; and kicked the Sox ass again. No way that crap team should sweep KC or Chicago, but they did and they are rolling cause they know how to beat their Central brethren.
