What an idiotic move by the nats

he forced their hand. If they don't feel he's the guy the org wants handling Strausburg coming back next year and the eventual debut of Harper then it was the right move by the org.

They'll need Eric Spoelstra.

On second thought, you're right. Furthermore, Riggleman signed a contract and just walked away from it. That's bulls***.

Walked away from his team over money midseason.

Not exactly the kind of selling point I'd admire.

Oh blah...managing is a thankless job and you've got to strike while the iron is hot. Didn't the Nats get rid of Manny Acta too?

Don't mind him asking for an extension, but walking away is a different story

Yeah, Riggleman just had his last job. He signed the f***ing contract, Rizzo was under no obligation to extend and or/pick up an option in mid-June.

Riggs wanted to have a discussion and Rizzo said there is nothing to discuss.

He was the lowest paid manager in baseball.

Makes me think Rizzo is a little difficult to work with.

Yeah, how convenient that Riggleman demands this meeting at 38-37 instead of 12 days ago when they were 27-36.

KW knows all about this.

He may have demanded it three weeks ago.

Ihe was Boers and bernstein at 1:30 I believe

he ended up having to be rescheduled due to "phone problems"

He and his agent rolled the dice and lost, but I'm sure they were 100% aware of this potential outcome.
