chw42
QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 09:25 PM) I was going to say over wrorked, but there was an off day yesterday Seriously, no excuse not to use your main right handed setup man in the 8th inning of a tied game. Especially against a hot hitter like Morse. Edited June 25, 2011 by chw42
chw42
See...this is why you don't use Bruney against a hitter like Morse. That's on Ozzie.

caulfield12
Of course, fate and destiny conspire against the Sox again. Where the heck was Crain? Bruney, seriously?
greg775
Who is this Bruney guy and where did we acquire him? Big fat gopher ball.
Cerbaho-WG
Why do you pitch to Morse? Why? Espinosa is hitting .240. Thanks, Ozzie.
maggsmaggs
Edwin pitches his ass off and he gets a no-decision. And the Sox will likely lose. That's just not right.
Soxfest
This team will not be .500 again in 2011 as long as OG is the manager. Pathectic call as ALWAYS Guillen.
maggsmaggs
It figures the next batter strikes out easily.
chw42
Does Ozzie even know how good Morse has been this year?
Chisoxrd5
Cue the Ozzie rant after the game "IF YOU'RE ON MY ROSTER, I EXPECT YOU TO PERFORM REGARDLESS OF THE SITUATION." This will be on Bruney after the game in Ozzie's world.

elrockinMT
Just plain wrong there .. a two run homer to the first guy the relief pitcher sees. I think the object of the move is to neutralize the batter with the pitching change. I think managers play the righty=-lefty game way too much
Cerbaho-WG
Espinosa also hitting a robust .206 from the right side. Terrible call by a terrible manager.
caulfield12
I just don't get it, with the off-day, why they'd be using Bruney. Or why they even bothered to pitch to Morse, who's obviously been white hot the last month.

maggsmaggs
I think we will get some runners on, but somehow in the 9th, I fear Juan Pierre batting with the game on the line.

chw42
Morse hits 40 points better against right handed pitchers. Has 6 more home runs against righties with an OPS 75 points higher. This is when you need a manager who can read a god damn stat sheet. Edited June 25, 2011 by chw42
