maggsmaggs
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 10:58 PM) The biggest problem with Pierre/Morel batting 1/2 is that they make just a lot of outs. Heck, give Rios a try at the 2nd spot if we're going to keep playing Pierre. Yeah, you got two guys that absolutely don't walk whatsoever. Problem is, we aren't exactly booming with top-of-the-order candidates.

maggsmaggs
QUOTE (robinventura23 @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 10:58 PM) If they need a starter to come in, the bet guest would be Floyd. That ended poorly last time.

greg775
Crain will have to keep pitching. I don't think Matt can be trusted. I just don't.
chw42
I guess Dunn will lead off the next inning. Nix, Morse, Espinosa. This will be tough.

maggsmaggs
QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 10:59 PM) Crain will have to keep pitching. I don't think Matt can be trusted. I just don't. 1.08 ERA in June with a sub-1.00 WHIP. He has been Matt Thornton recently and not Boone Logan.

Ozzie might be one of the few managers who would bat a guy with a .260 OBP second when it is one of the most important spots in the lineup. Balta1701
QUOTE (Marty34 @ Jun 25, 2011 -> 12:02 AM) You cannot be pleased with how many outs he makes. He's pretty much doing exactly what he should be doing. The problem is that 4 other guys in the lineup aren't, so instead of hitting 8 he's defaulting into the 2 spot. maggsmaggs
If Teahen could start hitting better, he would be a nice leadoff candidate with his ability to walk. Granted he doens't defend well enough to play everyday.
