The biggest problem with Pierre/Morel batting 1/2 is that they make just a lot of outs. Heck, give Rios a try at the 2nd spot if we're going to keep playing Pierre.

Yeah, you got two guys that absolutely don't walk whatsoever. Problem is, we aren't exactly booming with top-of-the-order candidates.

morel is a useless #2 hitter as pierre does not get on base

He's useless regardless. Ozzie might be one of the few managers who would bat a guy with a .260 OBP second when it is one of the most important spots in the lineup.

You cannot be pleased with how many outs he makes.

He's pretty much doing exactly what he should be doing. The problem is that 4 other guys in the lineup aren't, so instead of hitting 8 he's defaulting into the 2 spot.

His season Obp doesn't reflect at all what he's been doing for the last 1.5 months.

I think it's time to put Rios in that slot.

I don't understand why you cut him so much slack while you ride a guy like Edwin all day long.

He should be making a lot of outs? You really set the bar high for him.
