SoxFan1
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 11:13 PM) How can a ball go over your head late? Why was he playing so far in? Probably because it's Brian Bixler.
fathom
Crain has struggled mightily getting the 3rd out in a crucial situation it seems. Can't believe we let Bixler beat us, but yes, if Crain threw all sliders to Ramos and never tried to change his eye level with a fastball, then shame on AJP. Same crap he pulled against Miguel Cabrera.
Balta1701
This is a game where the 6 man rotation has really cost us.
maggsmaggs
Jesse Crain looks like he is wearing one of those illuminating necklaces you were during the 4th of July.
fathom
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 25, 2011 -> 05:13 AM) This is Crain. The slider is what he throws. Have to keep a hitter honest though. Waste a pitch here or there.
iamshack
QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 10:13 PM) Hence, the ideal world. Yeah, I hear you...but ideal insinuates something is actually possible...

fathom
Nationals have a huge horseshoe up their ass this last month. Finding crazy ways to get big runs home late.
Yoda
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 11:14 PM) This is a game where the 6 man rotation has really cost us. ONE game. With that being said, a game that should have been over like an hour ago.

maggsmaggs
Dunn hopefully has some confidence back, so I feel confident in his at-bat. Walk is just as good as a hit by me (unless that hit would be an HR).
chw42
If the other team doesn't gift wrap runs to us, we're not scoring on a non-home run. It's been this way all season.
southsider2k5
I have the feeling this game will define the season. This is twice we have rallied, and then twice we have served it up. Can we recover?

It's mental with Beckham. We know he has the talent. He needs to go back to just swinging and not thinking about every little mechanical thing. He's putting a lot of pressure on himself. Luckily he's been able to stay loose in the clubhouse and is still defending well.
kapzk
its frustrating, first the pitch selection on Santos throwing a changeup 1-2 after getting a swinging strike on the slider, and then Crain throwing like 8 straight sliders to Ramos.
