Wow, he is missing that ball by a lot.

Dunn's main problems are pitch/strikezone recognition and timing of the pitchers he's facing. With his huge swing-for-the-fences swing (the only one he has, unlike Konerko), he has to start very early. He's swinging at too many bad pitches, and missing (sometimes by a lot) because his swing is so long and he can't adjust once he starts it - he might as well be batting blindfolded once he makes the decision to swing. The HRs he has are all due to the ball magically running into the bat where he's swinging it, not vice versa.

The contrast in hitting approach between Konerko, a true professional, and Dunn is stunning. And so are the results.

Soooooo our game is finally on Fox if you were subjected to the Indians game.

I get to watch the f***ing Mets. Sure would like to have seen the White Sox game.

Who was at fault there? Ozzie being too cute or Lilli for missing it or both?

It wasn't a terrible idea, but when you get told to suicide squeeze, your got to get the bat on the ball even if it's a pitchout. Throw the bat if you have to.

It was a pretty unbuntable pitch - very low and outside. Blame bad luck, or Ozzie (but only a little) for having the squeeze on when the pitcher didn't need to throw a strike.

I personally think your being to cute there with the bases loaded and 1 out. A lot of things can go wrong on a squeeze play, so Im just not a fan right there.

I don't blame Ozzie for trying, especially after yesterday's game and all the trouble we had getting runners on third home with less than two outs.

Squeeze is not going to work 100% of the time...if it works 50% of the time it's probably a good idea...
