danman31
Knights lost 6-1 SP: Heath Viciedo 3-3, 2B, BB Barons lost 1-0 SP: Edwards Dash won 2-0 Rienzo 7 IP, 6 K, 2 BB, 6 H Hickory @ Intimidators SP: Carter Voyagers @ Helena SP: Jarrett Casey Bristol lost 10-6 Leyer 4 IP, 4 R, 6 K, 3 BB, 4 H What's interesting about Leyer's stats tonight is that it's the opposite of his last start. Last start he racked up 11 groundouts against 1 flyout with no Ks or BBs. This start had a good K rate, walked guys and had 2 groundouts against 3 flyouts. Will the real Leyer please stand up? bighurt4life
Carlos Sanchez an 18yo SS from the DSL has been promoted to Kannapolis from Bristol. An interesting prospect to watch at least.
maggsmaggs
QUOTE (bighurt4life @ Jun 27, 2011 -> 10:55 PM) Carlos Sanchez an 18yo SS from the DSL has been promoted to Kannapolis from Bristol. An interesting prospect to watch at least. Looks like KW is trying to up his trade value already. KW: Hey, Jed, we have this 18-year-old who is already in Single-A. We'll give you him for Heath Bell....

basebllrcks
First big offensive night for the Voyagers this season getting 10 runs on 10 hits. Lots of good offensive outings on the night, catcher Jimmy Jacquot (pronounce like taco with a "J")went 2 for 5 and is 4 for 9 the last two games after a slow start to the season and OF Michael Early added 2 hits to the cause. Offensive player for this game goes to 3B Jerry Puentes who went 2 for 3 with a walk and 2 RBIs. Jarrett Casey had a solid start going 5 innings giving up 3 hits and no runs with 3 Ks. That's his second solid start of the season after giving up one unearned run against Billings last week in 6 innings of work. Jamall Hollis had a strong 9th inning giving up one hit and striking out three to end the game. Edited June 28, 2011 by gfbaseball
NorthSideSox72
Wow, a 1-0, 13 inning game. That's a lot of shutout innings.
Balta1701
D2 is hitting .272, but with 27 strikeouts in 81 at bats in June. .717 OPS. The May hot streak has clearly evaporated.
