southsideirish71
Another divisional opponent, another loss. Need to find a way to score runs. The NL is no longer on the schedule.

greg775
Hilarious. KC, a team that is horrible, is 1-1 against us at home this stand and could have won both games. Paulino, a hack, who was on the ropes, gives them a quality start and gets the win. What a team we have. f***ing joke. Fire.Everybody.Now. Rebuild, please. fathom
That's another really bad loss. You have your high priced pitcher going against someone with such a bad career winning percentage, you should assume you win that game. 4 two out RBIs for them, and we get nothing yet again from our DH/CF spots. fathom
QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jul 6, 2011 -> 04:09 AM) Matt Treanor > Jake Peavy I missed the first and third innings, but did Peavy get anyone to swing and miss at his slider? The old Peavy would have had no problem getting Treanor on a slider in the 6th inning.
Mr. Wedmesday
When it takes more effort to watch a game than the team puts into playing it, something is very wrong. Another three hours I'll never get back....
Jordan4life_2007
QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 5, 2011 -> 10:12 PM) Hey guys, will this woman win the civil case? Would be nice to see Casey out some big money. Anthony told investigators that she had left 2-year-old Caylee on June 16 with a babysitter named Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez – also known as "Zanny" – at a specific Orlando apartment complex. A woman named Zenaida Gonzalez who was on the apartment records as having visited apartments on that date was questioned by police and said she did not know Casey or Caylee.[60] She has since filed a defamation suit seeking compensatory and punitive damages, alleging that Casey willfully damaged her reputation.[61] It was reported that Anthony would be exercising her rights under the Fifth Amendment in response to written questions in the civil case.[62] The civil trial is set for August 29, 2011. I blame Dunn for that woman getting off.

The old Peavy would have had no problem getting Treanor on a slider in the 6th inning. he got Butler swinging on cutter and Moustakas swinging at curveball but the typical slider away to the righty K was not there in fact not there for quite some time

kapzk
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 5, 2011 -> 11:14 PM) Actually it doesn't. U sure? Gameday in the boxscore has 26 for us with men LOB, unless you were looking at the team overal LOB. Edited July 6, 2011 by kapzk
CaliSoxFanViaSWside
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 5, 2011 -> 08:11 PM) 24? That's not even possible. It's possible if you leave the bases loaded every inning for 9 innings then its 27. But I think the stat he's referring to is like if men are on 2 nd and 3rd with no outs and no one scores that's 2 men apiece left on for 3 batters so 6 in that type of inning. You can leave up to 27 men on base in a single game, right? EDIT: Well, actually unlimited assuming the game goes in to extra innings. fathom
QUOTE (kapzk @ Jul 6, 2011 -> 03:15 AM) he got Butler swinging on cutter and Moustakas swinging at curveball but the typical slider away to the righty K was not there in fact not there for quite some time Has it ever been there in a Sox jersey? I think a lot of people who didn't see him often in San Diego would be amazed at how nasty his slider used to be like 5 years ago. You look at him now, and it's pretty average. I actually don't know how he gets a majority of his hitters out.
southsider2k5
QUOTE (kapzk @ Jul 5, 2011 -> 10:15 PM) U sure, Gameday in the boxscore has 26 for us with men LOB LOB isn't figured like that for the team. If the team gets the bases loaded with no one out, and then proceeds to K in three straight ABs the LOB is 3 for the team, not 9 because only three guys were actually left on base. fathom
SS2k or J4L or anyone else...how many more years do we have Peavy and Rios for? I thought I heard Peavy has one more year before an option that we'll surely decline, and Rios has 3 more years after this season.

Hahaha ya team LOB for us was just 13, but I think to show how s*** we were today we need to look at the total LOB, which is the sum of the individual players LOB. The Ginger Kid
Lilli with 4 K's, 7 lob. Dunn = lost. Beckham is a .240 hitter, at best. we had sooo many chances to score tonight with just a base hit. We wait around for the bomb and lean so hard on our pitching. Something's got to give. It just has to.

Haven't you watched this team this year? There isn't a pitcher alive that couldn't shut down our offense. Steve Stone could pitch a 4 hitter against this offense. /hyperbole
