fathom
Any chance Dunn is a freak and has two appendixes? He needs to be benched!! Edited July 8, 2011 by fathom
caulfield12
Unreal. This is getting to be semi-sadistic to put him in the line-up at #3 or #4. Pull the plug.
Jordan4life_2007
Been a Sox fan for 20 of my nearly 28 years on this planet, and I've never seen anything like Dunn. I can't find a word in the dictionary that appropriately describes him.

Fotop
It's cool guys. Twins will find some way to bring Capps into the game, and we'll have a tie ballgame in no time.

Not sure I've ever seen a regular hitting in the .150's this late in the season.

greg775
In summary, last night the Twins get smoked. Tonight own the White Sox. Last night the Royals own the Sox, tonight predictably losing at home vs. Detroit. The White Sox ... the team that won't make changes cause they are All In. Hey, Sox, three games left. Still time to make the emergency calls to Viciedo/DeAza, whomever else.
jeffro2525
There is seriously no reason not to sit Dunn these last 3 games before the all-star break. Let him go home, clear his head, do whatever and rejoin the team next week.
fathom
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 8, 2011 -> 02:38 AM) Great night all-around. Make it one time in 25 games we scored more than 3 runs against a starting pitcher. I don't know how long it's been since a team put up such a mediocre stat line. ChiliIrishHammock24
Well.....at least this game showed Ozzie why he shouldn't have let Santiago rot on the bench for 10 games or so before finally giving him a chance. 5 1/3 innings, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB (intentional), 2 K. Probably couldn't have used him in those 10 games or so anyway....
caulfield12
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 7, 2011 -> 09:36 PM) Walkoff grand slam for Hafner. They're going to be tough. I think it's either the Twins or Indians. DET has too many issues with Porcello and Scherzer, and who knows how long Penny and Verlander can stand up to the wear and tear. DET also has a ton of bullpen/relief issues to deal with. Minnesota looks to head into the 2nd half with a ton of momentum. greg775
Aaron Crow just gave up a home run to some defensive replacement. 3-1. Royals are back in the tank after kicking our ass.
chetkincaid
Holy s***. When I left BWW the Cubs were down 8-0... and they just won 10-8?? I wonder if the Sox have a comeback like that in them?
greg775
We should bring up our AA team and let all the regulars have a few days off. Keep our pitching staff. We might win one game, if not, who cares? The regulars can't beat em either.
caulfield12
I love how we don't even think about PHing for Rios here. Just concede the game, Ozzie. Or the entire series, for that matter. It's not like we don't have an All-Star just sitting there on the bench. Edited July 8, 2011 by caulfield12
greg775
Aaron Crow just lazily gunned a pickoff throw past Hosmer at first. Yup they are the Royals. At least I get to watch 2 games.

fathom
I get the feeling the Sox are getting close to benching Rios one way or another. He just doesn't hit line drives. Everything is either a rolled-over grounder or a lazy pop up.
