kitekrazy
QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jul 9, 2011 -> 04:11 PM) We all heard about what Gammons said today about Oz being fired during the break. Here are 2 tweets from Cowley just now: It's not news that everytime LaRussa's contract was up Reinsdorf was always reaching out to LaRussa. kitekrazy
QUOTE (hi8is @ Jul 9, 2011 -> 04:14 PM) Just put Viceido in as manager and then he can make de focking lineups. How about making Walker the manager and they would have to get a new hitting coach.

greg775
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 10, 2011 -> 07:41 AM) Please fire him. If we lose Sunday, I'd say he'll be fired. It'll be losing 2 of 3 to KC and 3 of 4 to Minnie with more Central games on the horizon. With Ozzie going to Florida next year anyway, Jerry won't feel too guilty I wouldn't think as Oz can be a color commentator if he wishes the rest of this year then sign a multi year deal in Florida where he'll be very very happy. TheBigHurt
Yeah, because Joe Cowley's reports are usually very accurate.

Steve9347
QUOTE (spiderman @ Jul 9, 2011 -> 05:20 PM) So, a free agent manager gets a call from Williams, and he then calls Guillen to let him know? I'm not buying. There's no way that is true, because Ozzie would already have tweeted and lost his s*** in an interview by now if he knew he was out the door. flavum
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 10, 2011 -> 08:20 AM) Thanks for ruining my Sunday. I'd be happy if they launched Ozzie now, but the bigger picture is this team isn't going to make the playoffs either way. I just want Kenny gone at the end of the season, and the new GM should be able to pick his manager.

Don't stop short Greg. Oz will move to Florida where he will become manager of the Marlins. From here on Oz will live the greatest life ever. He will win the lotto, buy Tiger's mansion and travel the world in harmony. This is all after he wins multiple championships and cements his spot in cooperstown as the greatest manager ever. The whole white sox organization will crash and burn without him, of course.

Dick Allen
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 10, 2011 -> 09:03 AM) even if ozzie was thinking of retiring, i think he would view this as a embarrassing moment. i agree with steve, if thos happened the way cowley told it, ozzie would have exploded on twitter, and so would his son There's also a couple things that no one has mentioned. Cowley tweets his stuff, whether its true or not, Oney hasn't said anything. Makes me think Ozzie isn't too upset about this if it is true. Oney did pop off Flowers was being called up because KW traded for him, thought it should be Lucy or better yet, the Sox should get Ivan Rodriquez. maggsmaggs
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 10, 2011 -> 09:49 AM) The 2011 Red Sox and Twins responded without changing managers. First, the Twins are still seven games out and eight games under, they haven't responded. They have just played better. Responded would be in first place, and they aren't even close to that yet. The Red Sox have the third highest payroll in baseball, and it was the first 12 games of the year they really shat.
