typewritermender Posted July 10, 2011 Share Posted July 10, 2011 If we had split our games with the Twins so far this year instead of losing all of them before last night, we'd be in first place right now. It's pathetic that we can't beat these guys even when they're out-sucking us! Hopefully last night turned things around. Let's get 'em today! It' something to think about that as frustrating as this team has been, we're still only 4.5 games out of first. The division is ours to take if we want it. The way I see it, if just ONE of either Dunn, Rios or Beckham goes through a big hotstreak we'll be in first place in a month. And if all three of them can get to their expected form, we could easily keep the division the rest of the season. Hell, even if they don't and we just get lucky a few games we could win this division. AND if we bring up Viciedo and get rid of Teahen, and Viciedo does as expected, we'll do even better. I find it hard to see us getting far in the playoffs though, unless Dunn flips a switch and becomes the man we expect him to be and our offense can gain some consistency (I think we have playoff-caliber pitching).
