Balta1701
Gotta say, I'm excited to see Bautista, since they snubbed him last year.

RockRaines
QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Jul 11, 2011 -> 07:39 PM) I hate Chris Berman. He has like 3 "lines" he says all the time. Other than that he is worthless. Cano is a BEAST
Swingandalongonetoleft
Chris Berman is a terrible human being, but especially so when he "calls" the HR Derby.

Milkman delivers
QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Jul 11, 2011 -> 07:46 PM) Chris Berman is a terrible human being, but especially so when he "calls" the HR Derby. He's the main reason I don't watch.
chw42
Was hoping Bautista would put on a show. I guess not. Guys who have timing mechanisms in their swing probably have a hard getting the timing down. Especially guys with leg kicks. Holliday and Bautista both did poorly. Cali
I gotta say I really DIG the snake skin numbers and lettering on these BP jersey's. Very nice touch.

Jordan4life_2007
Am I the only one here in love with Chase Field? What a beautiful f***ing park. I definitely hope to see a game there at some point.
Soxbadger
Glad Cano won, he deserved it and cool that his dad was the pitcher.
chw42
QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jul 11, 2011 -> 10:07 PM) Glad Cano won, he deserved it and cool that his dad was the pitcher. I was surprised how much power he really has. He hit some absolute bombs in the first round.
Wanne
Cano is such a effin' beast! Easily the only Yankee I like. And J4L...it looks nice when it's full (which is rarely)...but it's weird with the roof closed IMO. It is nice tho...
southsider2k5
Yeah I wouldn't have guessed Cano could go that deep. With the big boys like Ortiz and Fielder in there, I wouldn't have guess it would be Robinson hitting the ball 500 feet
Paulstar
One of the most competitive derbies I've seen recently between Gonzalez and Cano. It was fun to watch. On the other hand, the celebrity softball game is as lame as ever.
Whitewashed in '05
QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Jul 11, 2011 -> 07:46 PM) Chris Berman is a terrible human being, but especially so when he "calls" the HR Derby. I missed the derby, but just went to see some highlights. The only reason I am posting in this thread is to ask how Berman has a job, let alone the derby. His "back back back" call is the worse signature I've ever heard from any commentator in any sport. Absolutely excruciating...
LittleHurt05
Still disappointed that Passan's campaign to get Wily Mo in the derby never materialized. That would have been fun to watch.

Balta1701
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 12, 2011 -> 10:28 AM) LOL, the HR derby is trash. It's an enjoyable event that is made worse by being on ESPN. You don't always get a great year, but you can't tell me that things like a mammoth Thomas BP shot, that run by Hamilton, or the run by Abreu aren't entertaining. fathom
The Cano story was enjoyable to watch last night, especially for anyone with a son. As for the celebrity game, I can't believe how bad the production of that was from ESPN.
