Big Irish
I think the Sox should move toward a 4 man rotation. We can't continue to give away every 5th game. The pithers are asking for. They have all gone to management and said they want that duty. They want it on their shoulders. They ant to knoe it is up to them. Not a random 5th starter. Any thoughts? The Sox are 11-13 or 12-13 when their 5th starter takes his turn. Not giving anything away.

BridgeportHeather
There's no need to go to a 4-man rotation when our #5 starter only has 3 more starts this season (according to The Score)!
mac9001
I think Esteban has already said he prefers not going to a 4-man rotation.
mike12345
i wouldnt wanna risk the injury of any of our starters by putting too much work on their shoulders..
CubKilla
Any thoughts? No. Colon has already had one dead arm period this season. Not to mention, 2 months of every four days will be too taxing on EL, MB, BC, and JG if this team makes the playoffs.

Totally in agreement, especially considering the teams we have left to play from this point on. You don't go to the 4-man rotation until it's playoff time. And even then, you might want to go with a 3-man rotation with Garland going in long relief.
LDF
in the beginning of the season, hardly anyone from the sox played up to their potential, now everybody is coming together and with that, if colon can get it together, he is a force. YASNY
A four man rotation at this point is just asking for trouble later.

YASNY
go with the 4 man in the playoff. not now Definitely .... or even a 3 man rotation in the playoffs. You're number 5 starter should not even be thought of as a starter come playoff time.
