Brian
I don't hear a lot of Detroit games but Allen is a solid broadcaster.
Brian
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 16, 2011 -> 03:40 PM) Gordon's glove has been sexy. Gotta be frontrunner for GG.
caulfield12
Nope, they'll give it to Cano for his hitting and for being a Yankee. It's always the most difficult to win your first. If Gordon was hitting like he did in 2009, he'd get a lot more publicity. Edited July 16, 2011 by caulfield12
ChiliIrishHammock24
QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 16, 2011 -> 03:41 PM) Gotta be frontrunner for GG. No chance with Cano and Pedroia.
Soxbadger
Well I know what my opinion is, and it seems that the Sox agree with it (De Aza not even being on the MLB roster). So Im pretty confident that Rios is a better player than De Aza, could De Aza in 1 season put up better stats than Rios in 1 season, sure. The fact is that De Aza (in small sample size) has a career ba of 242 and ops of 610 Besides for this year, Rios has never had a ba under 240 and ops below 610. Im pretty comfortable starting Rios with his career numbers over De Aza, but I understand that for some the grass is always greener. caulfield12
Wow, a rare Pierre stolen base. Great slide by Juan, missed the tag. Looks like he tagged the sleeve/jersey....we got a break there. Edited July 16, 2011 by caulfield12

Brian
Cano seems lazy at 2B to me. Makes nice plays once in awhile but not as solid as Beck. Probably right about GB getting hosed. We saw it last year at SS.

fathom
Wow, didn't know Dunn had the 2nd worst batting average at the ASB since 1950. His bat speed still isn't there, but thankfully he had the seeing-eye single when it mattered.

caulfield12
Gotten beat on 2 change-ups so far this inning. Need to get Boesch/Ordonez b4 Cabrera comes up. Keep pumping those fastballs on Boesch's hands, thanks. Nice recovery from Edwin. Always seems to pitch pretty well against his former team. Getting that ERA into respectable territory again, and limiting his pitch count. Edited July 16, 2011 by caulfield12
