Balta1701
The Elf ought to wind up on 2nd really quick here. Just make sure he's going home.
caulfield12
Lillibridge please. Be careful if you're going to steal....Beckham's not automatic with contact, and Valverde's control is non-existent. NO BUNTING!!!!

Dick Allen
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 17, 2011 -> 02:41 PM) The Elf ought to wind up on 2nd really quick here. Just make sure he's going home. I could steal second with this pitcher. I hope Ozzie doesn't waste a bunt here.

caulfield12
We might have the worst hitting bench in the history of the AL. WHY WHY WHY force Beckham to do somthing he's not comfortable with when he's been hitting so well the last 15 days?
Soxbadger
You let Valverde off the hook by trying to bunt there, control is his problem.
greg775
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 17, 2011 -> 08:32 PM) If they can't do things like finish off a sweep after being spotted 3 runs, then they don't deserve the division. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 17, 2011 -> 08:37 PM) You take 2 out of 3, but how many times the past few years have the Sox failed to sweep after winning the first 2 of 3? It seems is almost an automatic loss. Becks can't bunt. What a joke. I'm just saying I can't imagine a scenario in which we win all 3 in Detroit. Not this year. I do agree with you guys, but the key to our season has been the home disasters.
ChiliIrishHammock24
If Ozzie wanted a bunt, why not just put in Omar to do the job? Whatever.

caulfield12
Missed a hanging offspeed pitch after the steady diet of fastballs. Somehow Gordon got Lillibridge over the 2B, but he should have been there with the steal with how slow Valverde is to the plate. Balta1701
QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 17, 2011 -> 03:44 PM) Becks can't bunt. What a joke. I'm just saying I can't imagine a scenario in which we win all 3 in Detroit. Not this year. I do agree with you guys, but the key to our season has been the home disasters. When we look back at the season, we wouldn't say that it was games like this that cost the season, you're right, we'd say that it was the bad performances at home against the Twins/Royals, the awful start, etc. We still have a shot to come back from that though, but we can't give up games like this. Balta1701
That worked about as well as the bunt, but the bunt made sure Lillibridge never had a chance to run.
