This is one of those games that if we don't win, it really leaves the taste in your mouth that it's not our year and hopefully we'll become sellers in 10 days. Buehrle's been our most consistent starter while Davies is simply terrible.

Dick Allen can add this one to his hit list:

But Penny was able to settle down after that. He ended up throwing only 78 pitches.

“Some teams are different. Those guys are really aggressive, and they’re doing me a favor by swinging first and second pitch every time,” Penny said. “I’m throwing strikes, and they’re helping my pitch count, when they had me a little bit on the ropes in the second inning.”

Thank you White Sox!

Kyle Davies should be shelled.

Kyle Davies may be the worst SP in the history of baseball. Royals are 2-9 in his starts. MUST. WIN.

I think we said all these things before the last KC series. I am not holding out hope for a shelling. We kill the best pitcher in baseball a few days ago, but I am sure we will struggle against this scrub.

This is tonight's free game on MLB TV, if interested.

Match-up is favorable, won 2 of 3 in DET, need the same in KC. Get the opener.

Been a few weeks... *clears throat*

GO YOU WHITE SOX!!!

:gosox1:

Couple'a soft-tossing KC lefties?...Not a favorable match up at all against these Sox.

Nobody said any of those things, because they never faced Davies. 7.74 ERA & 1.92 WHIP. Awful.

Got a letter just this mornin’ it was postmarked Omaha

It was typed and neatly written offerin’ me this better job

Better job at higher wages, expenses paid and a car

But I’m on TV here locally and I can’t quit, I’m a star

Hah-ha I come on TV grinnin,’ wearin’ pistols and a hat

It’s a kiddy show and I’m a hero of the younger set

I’m the number one attraction every supermarket parkin’ lot

I’m the king of Kansas City, no thanks, Omaha, thanks a lot

CHORUS:

Kansas City star, that’s what I are

Yodel-deedle ay-hee, you oughta see my car

I drive a big old Cadillac with wire wheels, got rhinestones on the spokes

I got credit down at the grocery store

And my barber tells me jokes

I’m the number one attraction every supermarket parkin’ lot

I’m the king of Kansas City, no thanks, Omaha, thanks a lot

Pierre - LF Ramirez - SS Konerko - 1B Dunn - DH Quentin - RF Rios - CF Pierzynski - C Beckham - 2B Teahen - 3B Buehrle - P

So tired of Teahen. Please make it end.

Ozzie's finally given up on Morel and made it at least a platoon.

I can understand why but I think it's a mistake. Might as well send Morel down and use Omar as a platoon at 3b and, yes, bring up Dayan.

I agree that if Brent isn't the starter, he needs to be sent down. Omar is just fine as a D-replacement and occasional starter.
