Yankees prospects scare the s*** out of me. No matter what, it seems like if the Yankees deal them, they flop hardcore.

Some recent succesful ones might include Ian Kennedy, Marcus Thames, Juan Rivera

Maybe, just maybe, Austin Jackson?

I would also put Brett Gardner in that group.

Jackson, I knew I was missing someone.

Gardner is still a Yankee. No one disputes that they keep some solid guys. It's the guys they trade that people think go all Willy Mo Pena on the teams acquiring them.

Jeff Karstens went to the Pirates from the Yankees in 2009 and he's lighting up a 2.28 ERA this season.

Everybody on that Pirates staff is having a good year one way or another.

It's about time too. That organization's luck has finally turned around.

The Yanks SHOULD be scouting Jackson. He's pretty much AJ Burnett at half the cost.

Burnett would be their #2 in a playoff rotation, no? That's a joke for a team with a $220M payroll.

Ian Kennedy is all kinds of awesome with the D-Backs...

He and Hudson are prime examples why teams shouldn't give up on good young starters because of a few rough starts, especially when they've shown swing and miss stuff.

I don't think the Yankees necessarily "gave up" on Kennedy as much as really wanted the return in that trade. They gave up Kennedy and Jackson to get back Granderson. That seems like a fair price

Clint Hurdle is a lot of good things.

So what is left for the Yankees to match up with the sox?

Unless a no-doubt number one starter appears on the market, the Yankees have made it clear they won't move prospects Manny Banuelos, Dellin Betances, Jesus Montero, and Austin Romine, tweets Joel Sherman of the New York Post.
