Balta1701
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 27, 2011 -> 05:55 PM) I think I'd rather get Brown. I'm just not as high on Beachy as everyone else. I don't know why, but I figured Beachy would be the kind of player you'd like.

The Ginger Kid
wouldn't the deal have to be sweetened to get Brown? I don't see straight up for CQ. Remember, he's the "total package"
daggins
Brown would be huuuuge but it ain't gonna happen. Singleton would be sweet, and maybe a Brody Colvin as well.
The Ginger Kid
we should be more concerned that the bears are looking hard at signing Roy Williams. I'll slit my wrists...

Remember, he's the "total package" I admit I don't know much about Brown. SO my question is, would Thornton and Q nab Brown? Or more generally, what would Thornton and Q nab from any other team? Swingandalongonetoleft
There's no catch-all in trade winds, but another right handed outfielder- BJ Upton- isn't in the lineup tonight. And: SPTimesRays Marc Topkin Upton had Sunday off so it's definitely not a "day of rest." Viciedo could be a bust, and so could De Aza, yeah that would be sweet.... hell, Dominic Brown could be a bust too though it's less likely than those other two guys you mentioned

He would be one of the best hitters on the team right now if he put up last seasons numbers. And that was before he knew how to take a walk. Because he had a productive 100 AB doesn't really mean anything. The league won't even get to attempt to make legitimate adjustments to you with that small of a sample size He could end up busting, just like Beckham has (yeah, I went there)

The league won't even get to attempt to make legitimate adjustments to you with that small of a sample size He could end up busting, just like Beckham has (yeah, I went there) So all of this continual progress by Viciedo ever since we signed him, along with the fact that he is absolutely dominating AAA ball this year, and you are talking about "busting"? What is it with you sometimes!!
Real
QUOTE (Thad Bosley @ Jul 27, 2011 -> 08:05 PM) So all of this continual progress by Viciedo ever since we signed him, along with the fact that he is absolutely dominating AAA ball this year, and you are talking about "busting"? What is it with you sometimes!! Dude, De Aza had a f***ing .876 OPS in AAA, Josh Fields was a AAA stud. 1. Prospects bust. That's why they're called prospects, and not major leaguers. 2. I never said Viciedo will bust. I said he could bust. Next
