My thoughts are that once Bell goes, if the Sox want to move Thorty, now will be the time you get the most value for him as he'd emerge as potentially the best reliever on the market. I read somewhere that the Rangers are more willing to take Thornton because he has a few years left on his contract. Plus he's a lefty.
