caulfield12
Thornton warming. Ohman had been up. Sutton/Scutaro/Ellsbury due. We're really going to take 7 in a row against BOSTON? That's pretty amazing. More amazing than their bad records against KC and Minnesota, almost. Edited July 30, 2011 by caulfield12

typewritermender
Anyone know the record for combined pitcher/batter age? I'm guessing Wakefield pitching to Vizquel's gotta be up there. That's 88 years between them. If Clemens ever faced Franco in 2006, that might beat it by a year or two. Or if Moyer pitched to Franco in '07. caulfield12
Trading for A prospects wasn't going to be the right move for KW. Domonic Brown, sure. But not some guys who MIGHT make an impact 2-3 years down the line. There's rebuilding with an eye towards 2013 and towards 2015, and that long-term thinking just isn't going to work with our fans unless it's Liriano/Nathan/Bonser in return. fathom
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 30, 2011 -> 02:00 AM) This. Unless you can get some high-end talent for CQ, you're better off keeping him. It's definitely shaping up that he'll be kept and then traded in the offseason. That might be best for the organization, as you wouldn't "white flag" this season and then try to get some cost-controlled help for next year. It wouldn't shock me if Viciedo's injury is worse than they've let on, but we don't want to announce it until after the deadline.
