This lineup just sucks so much against LHP, and can't afford to drop Sunday and Monday's game just due to a s***ty lineup like the one tonight. No Rios please, no Dunn either. caulfield12 Posted July 31, 2011 Share Posted July 31, 2011 There's no way you trade everyone away in 19 hours. But you can trade away a few smaller pieces and start preparing mentally for 2012. You have to be very, very careful with Humber and Peavy. They're set to be the keys to next year...and you can start looking at Stewart/Santiago/Sale/Infante/Reed as well. They'll need to make a determination on Frasor and Bruney, too. Probably not until the final 1-2 weeks of the season, unless the Yankees and Twins just bury us this week. Who knows with this team? Monday is already written off. Shouldn't be, because of the beginning of the game against Verlander this past week, but we always get rolled by Sabathia. Oh...they probably don't even glance at the AL Central standings until the final week of the season when the Yankees/Red Sox determine who their playoff opponents will be.
