JohnCangelosi
I don't believe what I just saw. Hits from Dunn and Rios in the SAME Inning. I think that must be a first this year?
kwolf68
QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jul 31, 2011 -> 03:07 PM) Trade Rios while he is hot. Damn right. We could get several good prospects for him I think. If we can't get prospects, we'll take a ham sandwich.

caulfield12
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jul 31, 2011 -> 01:06 PM) LOL what are you watching? That's not what happened at all. -Weaver misses on a close pitch, wasn't happy. -Guillen then parks the next pitch. He then stares Weaver down. -Ump issues a warning BEFORE the next pitch is even thrown, LOL. -Weaver then throws at Avila's head. Tossed instantly. Not watching, MLB Gameday, lol. Listening to Sox, trying to type and watch Gameday with Verlander no-hitter simultaneously. I saw the homer and Avila's name (since he was hitting) and didn't realize it was one batter earlier w/ Guillen. Buehrle needs to be more economical. Over 60 pitches through 3 innings. In 95 degree heat. Edited July 31, 2011 by caulfield12

fathom
Ok, this Tigers/Angels game is intense. Aybar just bunted and Verlander looked at him for about 10 seconds.
caulfield12
Aybar broke up the no hitter? Or an error? Verlander has five errors this season. Shades of 2006 post-season or Clayton Richard. 2 walks to McDonald? Really??? Edited July 31, 2011 by caulfield12

JoshPR
Hold up on the ubaldo trade. Nick Camino of Newsradio WTAM 1100 reports that Matt McBride, who is slated to go to the Rockies in the Ubaldo Jimenez deal, suffered an eye fracture before Sunday's game for Double-A Akron that could hold up the trade. McBride, who was hit by an errant ball during batting practice, is the least heralded prospect involved in the potential blockbuster deal, so we can't imagine the injury will make the deal fall apart. But, it's possible the Rockies might ask for someone else instead if it turns out the injury is serious. Stay tuned.
caulfield12
Angels scored....Bourjos with a hit or groundout/sac fly? Fielder's choice, somehow the runner scored from 3rd and Bourjos flew around to 2nd. 1 out in the 8th, 3-1 Tiggers. NCsoxfan
Before that hit, Rios was hitting .067 with RISP and two outs. Also, Rios has only had 4 ABs the WHOLE SEASON where he's had a 2-0 count. He hasn't had a 3-0 count the whole year.
