southsideirish71
QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 08:35 PM) What the f*** needs to happen for our manager to get fired? The Latin Jackie Mason could brick on the mound in front of the entire stadium during a pitching change and all would be smiles. Cowley would write an article about how refreshing Ozzie's antics are and how bricking is taking heat off of the team.

Balta1701
QUOTE (Cerbaho-WG @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 09:38 PM) Peavy still out there because.... yeah. Why not? Worst that can happen is a solo HR. And maybe peavy can pull off the quality start.
macsandz
And Frodo instead of simply dropping down a sac bunt decides to time out Sabathia for a "surprise" drag bunt. These idiots are literally hilarious these days.

With C.C. on the mound and Robertson/Rivera lurking, you can't really afford to fall behind any more runs.

Flash Tizzle
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 08:35 PM) Love playing for one run against the yankees Our plan was to rely on Lillibridge to bunt over two players into scoring position for.......Morel and Pierre to drive them in. And with our powerhouse offense we can afford to give up outs for the one run. Edited August 2, 2011 by Flash Tizzle
Paulstar
Way to play the game the right way Swisher. Too bad we can't have you and Rios both out there patrolling the OF.
whitesoxfan101
Some pretty hard hit balls that inning, but fortunately they just led to outs. Can't wait for Peavy to be out there again in the 7th.
macsandz
QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 08:39 PM) I'm fairly confident that Ozzie is trying to get Peavy killed out there. He's also determined to destroy any effectiveness for the remainder of Crain's contract.

Cowley would write an article about how refreshing Ozzie's antics are and how bricking is taking heat off of the team. I literally laughed out loud reading his crap today. I made the mistake of picking it up on the train today after someone else had dumped it. Now I know why they did. Not a single mention of Ozzie in an article about this failure of a season. fathom
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Aug 2, 2011 -> 02:50 AM) It makes zero sense. This is far and away Ozzie's worst year of strategy with lineup, bunting and handling of his starters.

whitesoxfan101
Peavy throws a hanging breaking ball with directions written on it up there, and it's an infield pop fly. I think the Yankees are just bored right now.
