Texsox Posted August 8, 2003 Share Posted August 8, 2003 Mostly overlooked in our KC series was Pena's bringing in Sweeney as inspiration for his team. It smelled of a B movie story line when Sweeney showed up in the club house after hitting a home run the night before. He said he could play in a day or two. Now it's looking like next week sometime. I have to admire the Royals they are trying every little trick, smoke and mirrors to keep winning. I don't know if Pena could manage long ball and our line up but would love to see him get a chance. If this team makes the playoffs there is no way JR will pay for two managers next season. Count on that. We win, we're stuck with the asshole for '04.
