Yeah, no explanation for why Peavy got moved back to Sunday.

Maybe it was the extra 25 or so pitches he threw for no reason in his last start. Oh well, it will be more interesting watching Stewart pitch tomorrow.

Just my speculation, but I think they want to see Stewart start now before September...get a couple starts, then go to the pen for long relief and get a couple starts in September when the Sox have two doubleheaders---or more starts when Peavy just flames out and they shut him down.

Maybe its the White Sox taking the precaution on Peavy. About time they do something and stand up against Peavy to prevent him from possibly hurting himself cuz knowing Peavy he won't back down regardless of how bad he feels. Let's see what Stewart is made of, wasn't blown away with his stuff but we will see how it goes. And Stewart wasn't all that in his Charlotte start as well, but he is facing a weak offense in Minnesota, but then again we always suck against them.

Any1 know if Peavy has pitched on normal rest (for 5 man rotation) without any of those offdays interfering, this year. Maybe thats why they are hesitant on allowing Peavy to pitch tmr and moved him after, if I am not mistaken, his season high in pitches his last game out.

MINNEAPOLIS - Pitcher Zach Stewart, who was acquired July 27 as part of a four-player trade with Toronto, will be promoted from Triple-A Charlotte and make his Chicago White Sox debut Saturday night at Minnesota.

Stewart, 24, was 0-1 with a 4.86 ERA in three starts for Toronto last month. He pitched last Sunday for Charlotte, allowing three runs on 10 hits in 6 1/3 innings.

"So far I've felt very comfortable," Stewart said Thursday, one day before he was promoted. "I've gone over a few things with Dot (Charlotte pitching coach Richard Dotson), but no one is trying to change me. They've given me some ideas, but no drastic changes."

After the trade was made, general manager Ken Williams hinted that Stewart, a third-round pick of Cincinnati in 2008, could be promoted by the end of the 2011 season.

Jake Peavy was moved back to start Sunday's game. Reliever Brian Bruney, who had allowed 11 runs in his past four appearances, was designated for assignment.

Thanks bud. Totally forgot Danks was down which made it a 5 man rotation. With the relief stint in mind, the period where he sucked coincides with 4 days rest on those starts. Maybe they don't want Peavy pushing it too hard with only 4 days of rest since he did not have the routine offseason workout to build up overall strength and stamina due to rehab from lat surgery. And they get a glance of Zach Stewart and see if he's able to actually pitch at the big league level, so if they decide to get rid of a starter and opt not to bring back Buerhle they can fall back on Stewart.
