Right and if Rios can hit mistakes hell be hitting over 250. He just hasnt been hitting anything.

The phrase by Hawk was "He's been trying to pull everything" and Pavano gave him a pitch that was pullable. That same pitch was a popup if Pavano could throw 92.

Not bad so far.

Definitely no Jeff Marquez, at least. Looks like worst-case scenario he'll be a decent 5th starter under team control cheaply for 6 years.

That's not a bad payoff for Edwin Jackson at all.

Pierre and Gordon have almost the same exact OPS. I don't think that's a good thing.

At least they're both way above Dunn, Morel and Rios.

White Sox 0 for their last 12 with RISP. 1st and 2nd now, 2 ours. C'mon Konerko.

2 hits for Ramirez in his familiar two hole in the line-up.

Make that 0 for 13 with RISP in this series so far.

Konerko with "only" an 800 ops in July.

That's his worst month of the season. Pretty amazing how consistent he's been all year long.

Stewart working pretty quickly. Only 31 pitches coming into the Mauer at-bat.

3 scoreless innings, five pitches total.

Couldn't ask for anything more out of him so far. Keep it up, longhair.

how does stewart look so far?

Solid. Good sinking, working well/quickly, only one or two hitters have gotten him squarely, pitches aren't straight. Nothing that you've looked at and said "That pitch was mind blowing" but effective.

Since the AS break, Pavano's ERA before this game was 9.41. Batters had hit .359/.950 off of him.

I guess he was due for a good start and you just gotta tip your cap.

Well again as Hawk is alluding to, he throws a change up. No one on the planet can hit one of these pitches. In early days pitchers were put to death for witchcraft for throwing these magical pitches.
