SoxAce
James Paxton just owned the Barons. Nice to see Buch's pitch very well in his rehab start. And Kanny had a nice field day.
JPN366
QUOTE (SoxAce @ Aug 6, 2011 -> 09:17 PM) James Paxton just owned the Barons. You should've seen it. He was throwing gas all night. Consistently 97-99, lots of swings and misses, 10 K's. One of the two hits he gave up should've been called an E-1. He pitched out of quite a jam in the 5th... Birmingham Bottom of the 5th Jon Gilmore grounds out, third baseman Francisco Martinez to first baseman Rich Poythress. Jose Martinez singles on a ground ball to pitcher James Paxton. (Paxton whiffed trying to field the ball) Jason Bour strikes out swinging. With Jake Oester batting, Jose Martinez steals (3) 2nd base. Jake Oester walks. Ross Wilson walks. Jose Martinez to 3rd. Jake Oester to 2nd. Greg Paiml strikes out swinging. (Bases loaded, 3 straight balls, then 3 straight strikes)
JPN366
QUOTE (flavum @ Aug 6, 2011 -> 09:05 PM) Tyler Williams makes Oney Guillen look like a prospect. 20 AB, 1 R, 2 H, 2 BB, 14 K's. That's a joke even in Rookie Ball. But according to Mark Gonzalez, he's struggling to adjust to pro ball. Absolutely nauseating.
OilCan
I know it's Low A ball, but... Dan Black...81 RBIs. Not too shabby. And that batting average is increasing. Might be ready for High A W/S.
PolishPrince34
QUOTE (OilCan @ Aug 6, 2011 -> 11:03 PM) I know it's Low A ball, but... Dan Black...81 RBIs. Not too shabby. And that batting average is increasing. Might be ready for High A W/S. Dan Black is already 24 years old. He should be tearing up in Low A Ball. What stunted his development was trying him at catcher which wasn't successful. They need to move him up. Not consider a prospect at that age in Low A Ball.
