Texsox
So you would have voted for John Kerry, a decorated soldier who served in a combat zone, instead of someone who used his daddy's connections and "served" part time, state side, in the national guard. Cool.

Cool. But Kerry dishonored his service with his actions once back home.

Yeah, no one should have the right to protest like he did. The first amendment certainly should never apply to a veteran.
jasonxctf
QUOTE (God Loves The Infantry @ Aug 11, 2011 -> 06:35 PM) In 2012, I'm voting for the Commander in Chief. Aka, my boss. And while I will follow the orders of any CiC because that's what good Soldiers do, I personally will not support a candidate who had not once been in my shoes. I do not believe you are qualified to command the military as a whole without having been in it yourself. That's my personal choice. guess you're not voting in a matchup consisting of Obama vs Romney Obama vs Bachmann Obama vs Palin (if she runs) Obama vs Gingrich Obama vs Cain Obama vs Christie (if he runs) Obama vs Santorum

Cool. Kerry meets two of my criteria. He served and he never cheated on his wife (that we know of). He doesn't hold stringent right-wing/conservative views though. So no.
