caulfield12
16 times Dunn has had 3 strikeouts (or more) and no hits in a game... Has already broken the all-time MLB season record in that category, with almost two full months left to go. Beckham strikes out on a fastball again. What new? sin city sox fan
What a great move by Ozzie to start Lillibridge over Dunn today. I just don't understand how some people want to get rid of him when he continues to make stellar moves like this which help us win ballgames. Wanne
QUOTE (TomPickle @ Aug 7, 2011 -> 01:36 PM) How many people not named Jose Bautista have hit one into the upper deck in left? Didn't Q do it a couple days ago?...
MexSoxFan#1
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 7, 2011 -> 01:33 PM) Lilli-Elf. Start him over Dunn for the rest of the season as the DH, at least against LHP. Why not? This The less we see of Adam Bum, the better...

caulfield12
Peavy starting off with his 90 MPH fastball....again. Nothing close to 92-95 MPH. At least for the moment. Usually he picks up a couple of MPH over the first 2-3 innings and levels off. Rare slider strikeout against Thome there. Perfect location, couldn't have place it in there any better if he walked it up to the plate. Edited August 7, 2011 by caulfield12

Chisoxfn
Started out in the upper 80's and now has moved up as high as 92. But his pitches look very crisp and he's throwing that FB at all kinds of different levels (bottom half of the zone, upper half of the zone, inside/outside). His FB looks good. Marty34
Peavy's stuff has been nothing more than ordinary this year. Considering that he has been pitching on 6 days rest most of the year, I don't know that it will get better over the offseason.

Considering that he has been pitching on 6 days rest most of the year, I don't know that it will get better over the offseason. Why on Earth wouldn't it? If Strasburg comes back in late September and is throwing 91 in a start and doesn't have the great changeup, will you say that his stuff wouldn't get better over the offseason? Well there is a chance that it might, since he will be going back to his routine offseason workout rather than Lat rehab which kept him from maintaining his overall strength. This is year is pretty much catchup to strength and stamina.
JohnCangelosi
If JFP has a great 2012, he should sign for the league minimum with us as a way to pay back all of the money he stole as a member of this ballclub. Just sayin.

caulfield12
C'mon Morel. If you're going to have a 585 OPS, at least MOVE THE RUNNER to 2B. That's all we're asking. Not a double, not a homer, just a productive AB.

I certainly think he will be willing to do that, after all just like Ozzie said he has never seen anybody like him work so hard to come back from such injury despite making that much money. Most ppl would just quit and won't give a s***.
