AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!

Team seemed much more relaxed with Lillibridge out there instead of Dunn at 1B.

You have to go with Brent against LHP, and you'd have to argue that it's also going to help Paulie a lot to DH the final two months...if Brent were only taller and had more experience with scoop plays (needed with Alexei and Morel over there)....but he has so much more range and athleticism than Paulie at 1B.

Peavy's now had two positive starts in a row. That's huge.

Now the big question becomes Humber.

We have to go 6-1 or no worse than 5-2 the next 7 games, and, once again, at least get back to .500.

Baltimore has been playing like crap, but that hasn't meant much when the Sox faced them the last 2-3 seasons. They play like the Royals against us for some reason. Showalter is a huge jackass, and it'd be so nice to beat these guys when they're really down.

Showalter also out manages Ozzie each and every game, by a wide margin typically, so we have to hope the offensive surge continues and not to get into tight games with them. With the pitching matchups for this 4 game series there is no reason why we cannot take every game, but I am not holding my breath. I've been emotionally hurt too much by this team to fully open my heart to them again :headbang

Unfortunately, its the other way around.

Correct...completely read that wrong...duh! Well...who's to say it won't carry over...we haven't done crap for 7 years in Minny either.

Ugh... another tease series for the sox after getting their asses handed to them by the Yankees. Thought some of you would learn by now. Now if they go on a run from here and take the next few series then that is different, but that is usually not the M.O. of this organization.

Hey, they swept the Twins...in Minnesota!

I don't view this as the Sox having life left in them, I view this as one of the best accomplishments of the decade! :lolhitting

Unless the Sox get themselves back above .500, I will be heavily indifferent.

The last time the White Sox swept the Twins at all was April 21-23, 2006. The last time they swept Minnesota in Minnesota was June 29-July 1, 2004.

It's been a rough few years.

I clearly remember the Sox kicking the Twins' ass in a 4 game set at the Cell in 08. One of the most enjoyable series for me in the past 5 years.

For once, Ozzie didn't compliment the Twins before the series and look what happens!

It was always mental with this team when it came to playing the Twins. This Twins team freaking blows, it was about time the Sox treated them like the crappy team they really are.

Sorry Debbie, they'll be over .500 this time next week

When has this team shown that it has the balls and production to consistently keep winning!? They take one step forward, then two steps backwards.

1.) No need to call naysayers Debbie Downers. This team has shown nothing all year. We have the right to be skeptical until they somehow get over .500.

2.) There's no way Oz is sitting Dunn against lefties. Today was just a day off for the big lug.

I don't know what I feel better about in this series... Seeing Rios starting to hit the ball hard, or seeing Jakes second start in a row of being strong up over 100 pitches? Both are so huge for this franchise moving forward.

I wonder if something just clicked for Rios or did he decide to start trying again...or were the last two games just a fluke?

He looks totally different at the plate, although we haven't seen opposite field work much. His legs are back involved in his swing.
