At what point does 'most' matter? If it is 20 million, but that is only 5%, does that make it ok? After 9-11 you saw mass cheering in Muslim communities around the world including here in the US. As for Yahoo commenters, they are 99% trolls anyway just looking for a fight.

well no s*** because that's what the media and the government wanted you to see. of COURSE they're not going to show you the people who disagreed with it, and felt that it was an atrocity. That doesn't sell papers.

Keep bowing down to the alter of multi-culturalism and your head will get chopped off.

lol

The group in question here

Is a tiny minority of one religion, with most of the more radical adherents located halfway around the world. but don't let that stop you from painting a billion people with your broad brush of ignorance.

Is 20 million tiny? 40 million? At what point do you become concerned?

FIne, I'm greatly concerned that Palin will be on the ballot.

Conservatives swear to me she has no chance but the liberal media keeps saying that conservatives love her, so it must be true for all.

i don't know how this came up - but she's not gonna run. she's making way too much damn money doing book tours and "trying to decide" to run to actually do it.

But a small minority like her, and that one opinion columnist said she would run. So I figured everyone thought she was running!??!!

EDIT: Im trying to show, probably in a poor way, how a biased media and a small minority does not equal the entire group they are in.

Just because there are idiots out there that fall under one group doesn't mean you should blanket the whole group! Or should you start advocating that it's okay for liberals to think all teapartiers love Palin!!11!!

I've ready very similar posts on this board actually...

And how frustrating is that for conservative posters? How stupid do you think posters who write that are for believing that?

No, that's a pretty bad attempt at excusing alpha's views of Muslims. But please feel free to flesh out this great comparison.

I tend to think that you have some unreasonable fears concerning the downfall of America if the tea party (which you always tend to equate to all conservatives) take control.

I'm just saying if you expect a courtesy, you probably should engage in it yourself.

I don't follow, since this should be directed more at Alpha than me, atleast the way I'm reading it. I don't really think Palin has a chance, I was just saying that as an analogy for how ridiculous that line of thinking was, for both sides.

If there are so many 'main stream' muslims in this country, perhaps they should then rise up and take back their religion from all the fanatics.

lol

Hey moderate Muslim from Michigan, you need to head over to the Middle East and straighten out the extremist Muslims.

Such a reasonable request!

In other words, why is everyone pounding on Alpha for this, when the same thing happens here every single day and nothing gets said because the left wing agrees with it?

When did you perform your census on Muslims that illustrates specifically how many of them hate us and want violent deaths bestowed upon us?

I have no census, just asked where the line was.

No, I'm pretty sure I've never equated the tea party to all conservatives.

But yes, if the tea party had been in complete control of the government recently, I'm pretty sure they would have let the debt ceiling stay where it is and have the country default (possibly because they don't understand what the debt ceiling is, as demonstrated by Bachmann last night). That'd be pretty disastrous.

I've never claimed that. I base my understanding of your views based on numerous posts over the years.

They have enough to worry about in Dearborn. Remember when Terry Jones went there? He needed a police escort. Why is that? Several Christians were arrested for 'disturbing the Peace' outside the Dearborn Arab Festival. How's that tolerance working out there? I will applaud those that DO try, but even they are subjected to threats for daring to speak out.

Wait, what does xenophobic Evangelicals harassing Arabs have to do with the validity of making all Muslims responsible for the actions of a few?

lol

Perhaps emboldened by winning several lawsuits that guaranteed their right to proselytize at the festival, attended primarily by Muslims, the Christian groups seemed more confrontational and aggressive this year. In addition to targeting Muslims, some of them even held signs calling Catholics “idolators” and saying that all Catholics go to hell. Others carried huge vertical signs calling Muhammad a “pervert” and telling people to “study and obey the Bible.”

also

Five (5) Christian-based organizations and two (2) Muslim-based organizations also secured booths at the festival and were actively proselytizing in ways that conformed to the festival rules and regulations.

In addition, a Christian group called Impact International from Virginia has provided volunteers to work at the festival for multiple years. They promote the experience to their members as a way to learn about other cultures. There were no reported issues with any of these other organizations.

Also re terry jones, idiot extraordinaire, I'm pretty sure if someone who went around promoting the burning of Bibles went to deeply religious areas in America, they might get threatened. Hell, Fox News' facebook page had to be temporarily shut down after they had an atheist on because there were so many death threats.

Why aren't you out there denouncing this, alpha?!?! Is this how all Christians are?! When do you worry? 12? 49 1/2?"!!!
